Coach Tours and Special Interest Groups

Book DayTripper for a relaxing and unique day on the water. Your passengers can fish, take in the scenery or just relax and enjoy a pleasant
cruise on the calm waters of Hervey Bay.

Our regular departures have been planned with coach tour operators and passengers from outside Hervey Bay in mind, allowing time for
travelling to and from Hervey Bay. Departure and return times can be changed to suit your itinerary.

Morning teas and continuous tea & coffee is provided on our regular fishing trips and a cold buffet lunch or BBQ can be provided for group
charters returning after 1.00pm. A licensed onboard bar serves snacks and both alcoholic and soft drinks.  Passengers are well catered for with
male & female environmentally friendly toilet facilities.

Fishing rods, tackle and bait are supplied free of charge and our crew will gut and gill all fish caught for passengers to take home.

We suggest passengers bring with them a hat, a camera, sunscreen, a cardigan or spray jacket, and a soft esky for carrying their catch home.

Although DayTripper is licensed to carry 49 passengers, if the intention of the group is to do some serious fishing, we recommend that group
numbers be restricted to around 20 to ensure greater comfort for all.

A private charter costs just $1200 (weekends)/$1000 (weekdays)including morning or afternoon tea. Meals can be arranged.

Special Event Charters

DayTripper offers many applications for special events including a great vantage point for special water events such as the Bay to Bay Race.

Our vessel can travel with adventurers as they canoe down the Great Sandy Straits providing a base for meals, a sleeping platform and
transportation of luggage and equipment.

DayTripper is popular for Parties Afloat having catered for Birthday Parties, Bucks Parties, Corporate Fishing Groups, Weddings and Christmas
Parties and we can incorporate a beach B-B-Q to add another dimension to your day out. Lights of the Bay Cruises add a nice touch to a special
event and we can drop guests back to the Hervey Bay Boat Club for dinner and entertainment.

For a large number of passengers a day on Moon Point Bank can be a lot of fun. Children enjoy swimming in the shallows whilst teenagers can
play beach volleyball and other sports on the sand. Beach fishing from the Bank is also quite popular or just relax and enjoy the pristine
environment from the shade of a marquee.  

Schools are also well catered for and use DayTripper for Marine Studies groups. We can tow dinghys if required and provide a base for
discussion groups and meals. Day Tours and longer duration charters can be accommodated.

Special Event Charters start as low as $1000 (weekdays) including Morning or Afternoon Tea and other meals can be catered for by arrangement.

Fuel surcharges may apply depending on the distance to be travelled.

NB: For Charter and Group Bookings - A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required 14 days prior to cruise date to secure booking.
This deposit will be refunded should weather conditions prevent cruise.
